Why is it when a tree falls …

It will land on a narrow gravel road.

It will land on a narrow gravel road that’s also the only road to your house.

It will land in the one place where you can’t go off-road to get around it.

It will land the night before your big morning meeting that’s an hour’s drive away.

It will be raining.

You will be dressed appropriately for your Very Important Meeting.

And your chainsaw will not start.

And your handsaw will eventually get stuck in the trunk right before you saw through.

And it wasn’t even Monday.
