But what happens when you fall, you lose your job or some other life slam?  A lot of those “friends” disappear. No one likes hanging around with a has-been.  Fame and wealth come and go. Many will desert you; Sams won’t.

Following is an excerpt from the chapter, titled “A Sam Will Walk With You To The Mountaintop, Yet Also Through The Darkest Valley:”
