A Little Black Dress … A Little Black Netbook

Mar 1, 2009 by

I’d prefer my wife in the little black dress, but if she’s not around then it’s time to pull out my nifty new HP mini netbook.

It’s great for quick blogs, notes, checking email and a little surfing. I got the 10-inch screen and just added another 1 gig of ram to pop me up to 2G, which definitely helps.

It only weighs about two pounds and what sold me on it was the keyboard – a pretty impressive 92% of a full-size board. I also went with the SSD hard drive, which is much smaller at only 16 gigs, but from what I’ve read a lot sturdier. Running XP Home and picked up a couple of SD storage cards so space is fine.

I really think netbooks are going to be among the top “new” toys. They are just so friggin mobile.

Really an ultimate little writing toy. And I’ve got a full-sized bluetooth keyboard that folds up to something the size of a small paperback. Combined, it’s still way less than a regular laptop in weight.

So check em out … gotta go. The black dress just showed up …

Until next time
